The mare Summer was an excellent addition to the breeding program, joining us by way of some excellent connections in the Thoroughbred community. It was obvious after seeing many Thoroughbred crosses with Caletto that good mares were worth procuring and we watched carefully how Caletto was crossing with Thoroughbred mares and wishing to repeat the success of others, added the mare when she became available. Originally coming from a stakes race program, she raced lightly. We prepared her for the Mare Performance Test and she was accepted into the Hanoverian registry. She is very pretty and refined but with a lovely round croup and darling face. Her disposition is reserved but confident and she passes this along to her foals.
