Silverhorne offers a well-established, customized baby raising program based on more than two decades of solid experience. For anyone, professional or amateur, interested in purchasing a weanling, yearling or two year old and is just not yet prepared to raise a youngster, we offer a proper raising at an economical price. Because Silverhorne raises foals on a larger scale, typically 12 -18 foals annually, we can easily spread handling, feed, care, hoof trims, deworming and vaccination costs amongst all foals which results in equitable price sharing for all of our owners. Ask about our Baby Raising rate sheets if your interest is piqued.

Foals born at Silverhorne are handled from birth on a daily basis-- based on the In and Out Program. By the time a foal is 6 to 8 weeks of age, we have invested over 25 hours per foal in all aspects of handling and relationship building. As a result, foals are friendly, trusting and approachable with fairly solid manners established. At 3 weeks old and still at the mare’s side, foals are integrated into large grass pastures where they learn horse-to-horse behaviors and good socialization, making for balanced adult horses. Isolation is not an option for the young horse raised at Silverhorne. With more than a decade of baby specific raising experience, we can offer to the market place well adjusted, easy to start horses under saddle. 2005 Offspring

For your consideration, we have modeled 3 of our 2005 offspring from the Sir Caletto/Silverhorne broodmare band. All are IHF nominated, exhibit hack winner movement and have been lightly freejumped to confirm that "it's there". Diligently prepared in anticipation of their participation in the young horse starting program later this Summer, they could be ready for IHF if you desire. In-hand work, Eurociser time for free walk, grooming and some lateral work on the ground are all part of their training. These 3 represent some of the finest we have to offer in this age group. Priced at $25,000, they will be started under saddle this Summer. Price includes a fully started youngster (90 days here at Silverhorne) and arrangements can be made for further training as three year olds should you desire to leave them at Silverhorne.
