Bred By Silverhorne, Good Girl possesses a tremendous aptitude for jumping, enjoying it thoroughly and without hesitation, a super bascule with excellent technique and now this young mare has produced two colts with Sir Caletto. The ‘06 foal, Sponge Bob, was named Champion Colt at the Silverhorne Fall Hanoverian Inspection. The ’05 gelding Scaletto is equally impressive.
Good Girl’s sire, Graf Top II, was bred by Alfred Broennemann in Germany. Born in 1997, he was 100-Day Tested in Adelheidsdorf in 2000 and imported to the US by Glenwood Farms in 2001. Two very Interesting points in this stallion’s pedigree; the grandmother of Graf Top II (Geri) and the mother of Spartan (Gottilde) are full sisters. So this mare is double bred Servus as he appears on both the top and bottom side of the pedigree (see Susie). Add to this, Calypso who is Cor de la Bryere, founder of the modern day Holsteiner renowned for rideabilty, good character and phenomenal jumping ability and super bascule and it’s a fairly power packed pedigree this stallion carries. It’s worth noting, staying on the same lineage point, that when this mare is bred to Sir Caletto, he too hails from the same Cor de la Bryere bloodlines.
The dam of Graf Top, SPS Capries, where the Calypso comes in, is also the full sister the the mare Candy of the Celle stallion Laptop. As quoted in The Hanoverian, published by the Verband Hannoverscher Warmblutzuchter c.V. Germany, “In October 1995 a State Stud sire from Celle made his debut in Verden’s licensing rind…in his first vintage Graf Grannus delivered four sons, three were licensed and one earned the victor’s crown. The debutant was Graf Grannus. Graf Top II’s full brother, Graft Top stands at the State Stud in Celle.” He is producing with great regularity a high number of jumpers for the elite hanoverian auctions in Germany.
