Miss Ellie (registered name Mo Chief xx) was an unexpected but welcome surprise for our breeding program. Given how difficult it can be to gain acceptance for a Thoroughbred mare into the AHS registry, we decided to breed her ourselves when she became part of the broodmare band.. Ellie is an excellent mother and a super broodmare. Initially, she came to us via a client who showed the mare in the hunters in California and, she was bred to Sir Caletto, producing a very cute little gelding. As indicated earlier, she did well enough at her AHS Inspection in 2005 to be accepted into the registry. In 2006 she produced a super moving little filly, Squeezie Street, who impressed the AHS inspection team enough to warrant some very good remarks about her suspension and reach. She is a very flat mover with super conformation and will make an excellent hunter prospect. The mare Ellie is again in foal for the ’07 season to Sir Caletto.
